"Doctor Barbara" is an author of medical fiction novels, children’s books, and a healthy living book. She is a clinically retired anesthesiologist due to a disability, went to medical school and residency at the University of Louisville, and practiced in Kentucky and Florida. She has also been a primary care physician in volunteer clinics and a medical expedition. She maintains her licenses and is a guest speaker for talks ranging from obstructive sleep apnea, physician disability, and a health talk which is an extension of her book Younger Next Decade. She sprinkles credible medicine into the background of her novels, but her characters and plots take center stage.
